AUSSIE midfielder Kyle Nix is hoping to earn a deal with English fifth-tier outfit Mansfield Town.
Nix, 23, was released by fourth tier outfit Bradford City at the end of last season and he is now hoping to secure a deal with Blue Square Premier League (effectively England's fifth division) Mansfield.
Mansfield, known as The Stags, are looking to regain the Football League status they lost two years ago and manager David Holdsworth hopes Nix can help boost their promotion hopes.
He told the Nottingham Evening Post: "Kyle is a left-footed central midfielder who is technically sound and a good passer.
"He can play on the left of a central three or in the middle and when you are away from home you need that ability to suffocate teams as well as create. He's very much someone who has an eye for getting forward."
Nix struggled for regular first team football at Bradford last season but had been told he was welcome to join pre-season training if he had not fixed himself up elsewhere.
