Melbourne City’s bad week only got worse as they gave up a two-goal lead against Perth Glory in a disappointing 2-2 draw against the league leaders.
Juande – 6
Juande was not able to help his defence withstand the first half pressure of Melbourne City and he needed to do a better job of protecting his centre-backs.
Chris Ikonomidis – 6
Ikonomidis wasn’t able to continue his great form in this match as he couldn’t get the final ball or shot right when he got into good positions.
Diego Castro – 6.5
The captain had an anonymous game until right at the end when he stepped up and scored from long-distance to equalise for Perth.
Andy Keogh – 5.5
Had more than enough chances to get his team back into the game but couldn’t make it count. He will be disappointed in himself and he was rightly brought off early for Brendon Santalab.
SUBS
Joel Chianese – 7
Fantastic headed equaliser and an all round impressive impact-sub performance.
Brendon Santalab – 6.5
Santalab had a few half-chances and snatched at his shots too quickly, but it’s good to see him getting in dangerous positions.
Jake Brimmer – 6
Brought on for Kilkenny, Brimmer was introduced too late to have a meaningful impact on the game.
