Terry Antonis – 7

His touch inadvertently provided the opener for Glory and he had a poor first half, as did the majority of his teammates. Produced an excellent strike to make it 2-1 but struggled to break down Perth's stubborn defence.

James Troisi – 6.5

Not at his brilliant best and wasted the half chances that came his way. Perth clearly targeted Troisi and did a great job keeping him out of his usual rhythm.

Keisuke Honda – 8

Burst into life in the second half as he dominated proceedings and helped Victory surge back into the match. Expertly found Antonis in space to help create the opener, before providing the corner for Roux's equaliser. His pinpoint delivery caused havoc all night for Perth's defenders and he could have had a few more assists on another night.

Kosta Barbarouses – 6.5

Kosta was heavily involved in most of Melbourne's good work and had several good chances to get his name on the scoresheet. Was not at his attacking best and on another night could have a hat-trick.

Kenny Athiu – 6

Struggled to influence the match in the opening half as Victory struggled to get a foothold in the game. Barely lasted 10 minutes in the second stanza before succumbing to a hamstring strain.

SUBS:

Jai Ingham – 6.5

Came on for the injured Athiu but was rarely sighted despite Victory's second half domination.

Thomas Deng – 6

Brought on to replace his floored German teammate. Rarely tested as Victory dominated the second period and was caught out by Perth's late counter attack.

Carl Valeri – 6

Replaced Baena with 10 minutes remaining and helped keep his side on top as they pushed for an equaliser, but couldn't keep the Glory from stealing all three points.
