A warm and muggy Thursday night saw the start of the Summer Football Festival, with the Roar hosting the Glory on a pitch that somewhat resembled a cow paddock.
Perth Glory
Liam Reddy- 6
One of the A-League’s bravest keepers was forced off through injury after a collision with Corey Brown, and managed to stop many goal scoring opportunities.
Jeremy Walker – 6.5
Fresh from being rewarded with a contract extension, Walker managed to show his attacking danger and matched it with some smart defensive play.
Jacob Poscoliero – 6.5
Distribution was great, opening his defensive position to receive passes back before creating the attack.
Shane Lowry - 7
Fearless play once again. Top notch.
Joe Mills - 7
Showed his attacking smarts, wipping some dangerous balls across the face, which were begging to be attacked by a Glory attacker. Was an ever-present threat out wide for the Glory and was always an option on the left going forward and in defence as well.
Chris Harold – 6
Stayed quiet, didn’t manage to create many chances for the Glory attackers.
Andreu – 5
Back in the lineup for the Glory but stayed quiet, with most of the midfield play running through Brandon Wilson.
Brandon Wilson – 7.5
For a 20-year-old, his play represents the strength and maturity of someone much further on from a higher level.
