Following last month’s announcement of  Puma as the club’s apparel partner for the next three seasons, Roar players Shane Stefanutto, Erik Paartalu, Michael Theoklitos and Vedrana Popovic modelled their new kits this morning.

The home jersey is still predominately orange while players will wear a black away strip for their matches on the road.

Vice-captain Shane Stefanutto was delighted by the new club attire.

“It’s a nice look I think, Puma have done well and it’s good to see the W-League team wearing the same strip as well. I think we’re coming together as one which is important,” Stefanutto said.

“We’re a strong club and we’re champions in both leagues so I think it’s a good step moving forward.

“I do (like the black away strip) and all the boys do… we’re happy with the look of both strips.”

Brisbane Roar CEO Eugenie Buckley was equally impressed.

“PUMA have a reputation for quality and innovation, something the Ange Postecoglou and his players demonstrated on the pitch last season and something we are striving to match off the field,” Buckley said.

“Brisbane Roar will be the only Hyundai A-League club to partner with PUMA, something we’re very proud of.”

With just 33 days remaining until they begin the defence of their Premiership and Championship double, Brisbane’s veteran defender welcomed the kit unveiling.

“It feels great and it’s good to have it announced – it just shows we’re getting closer to the start of the A-League season,” Stefanutto said.

“It’s been quite a long pre-season and the boys are excited to get the first game underway.”
