AFC Champions League quarter-finalists Sepahan clinched a spot in next year's continental championship after claiming their second consecutive Hazfi Cup title with a comprehensive 3-0 second-leg victory against Saba Battery.
Leading 1-0 from last week's first leg in Tehran, Sepahan delighted the home fans in Esfahan by doubling their advantage through Mahmoud Karimi a minute before the interval.
Ebrahim Loveinian killed off any lingering hopes for Saba Battery with Sepahan's second of the game 10 minutes into the second half, before Hossein Papi sealed a 4-0 aggregate win two minutes from time.
It was Sepahan's third victory in four years in the competition which they won after a penalty shootout against Persepolis in 2006.
The Esfahan side advanced to the knockout stage of the this year's AFC Champions League after a 1-0 win over Al Shabab of Saudi Arabia last month and have been drawn to play Kawasaki Frontale of Japan in the last eight in September.
