Sweden have won their first World Cup match in 12 years defeating South Korea 1-0 in their first match of the group stage.
Sweden controlled most of the match with chances flying towards Marcus Berg and Pontus Jansson who both rued missing clear cut chances.
Korea goalkeeper Hyun-Woo was the only thing stopping South Korea from going down early.
In the second half, Kim Min-Woo took down Sweden skipper Andreas Granqvist and the captain converted from the spot.
His side held on for a 1-0 victory.
SWEDEN
Robin Olsen - 6
Some routine saves were only needed of Olsen as Sweden dominated most of the match.
Mikael Lustig - 6.5
Not a brilliant start as Korea peppered attacks down his right hand side. Multiple crosses flew in on his flank as Sweden started the match on the back foot. Gradually improved in the second half.
Andreas Granqvist - 8
In the wars early, preventing Korea's threatening attacks from out wide. The 33-year old giant surged forward twice in fifteen minutes into Korea's penalty area. Placed his spot-kick into the bottom right corner to put Sweden ahead.

Ludwig Augustinsson - 6.5
Didn't have the best delivery but defended well on the left-hand side of Sweden's defence. Provided great cover for Granqvist as he traversed the midfield with his daring runs.
Pontus Jansson - 6.5
Had an opportunity to score his first goal for his country in the 29th minute but his effort was blocked in the six-yard box by a sliding challenge from Young-Gwon. Last minute tackle on Hee-Chang prevented a low cross that would certainly have spelt disaster for Sweden.
Sebastian Larsson - 7
Whipped in some dangerous balls and almost created the opening goal from a set piece.
