Sweden have won their first World Cup match in 12 years defeating South Korea 1-0 in their first match of the group stage.
It was clear from minute one that Son would be the most important player on the pitch but his performance in the first half was disappointing. His second half didn't get any better as Korea struggled to break down a very compact Sweden.

Kim Shin-Wook - 4
A few tedious tackles saw his name go into the book early. He didn't stop after that, frustrating South Korea's attacks with multiple fouls.
Hwang Hee-Chan - 3.5
Hardly found any touches on the ball in the first half and summed up in the second with a yellow card. Slipped at the final moment before pulling the trigger with ten minutes to go which could have seen South Korea level.
Subs
Kim Min-Woo - 3
Subbed on after 30 minutes for Park Joo-Ho who suffered a hamstring injury. The substitute conceded a penalty after a VAR check which was converted by Granqvist.
Lee Sung-Woo - N/A
Jung Woo-Young - 4
Brought on for the ineffective Kim Shin Wook but he could offer nothing more for South Korea after they went down.
