Sweden have won their first World Cup match in 12 years defeating South Korea 1-0 in their first match of the group stage.
Albin Ekdal - 6.5
Passed the ball nicely and was pivotal as Sweden got a hold of the match in the first half. South Korea began to edge back into the contest following his substitution.
Emil Forsberg - 4
A disappointing game from one of Sweden's most important attackers and creators. Two shots from outside the box that sailed over the bar sums up his match.
Viktor Claesson - 6
Rather quiet in the first half but sprung into life as Sweden moved to a faster tempo. He set up Emil Forsberg on the edge of the box for a guilt-edged chance but the RB Leipzig player couldn't direct it on target. Some great defensive work saved the three points for Sweden.
Marcus Berg - 4
Threw himself around, giving Korea plenty of chances from set pieces. Should have buried a clear-cut, point-blank chance to put Sweden ahead.
Ola Toivenen - 5
Scuppered a chance from the corner following Berg's point-blank shot. In the second half he had a powerful header saved by Hyun-Woo who kept the scores level.
Substitutes
Oscar Hiljemark - 5
Subbed on for Albin Ekdal but couldn't maintain the control Ekdal had on the match.
Gustav Svensson - N/A
Brought on for the impressive Sebastian Larsson with nine minute left.
Isaac Thelin - N/A
Subbed on for Ola Toivenen with just under 15 minutes to play.
