It is the game that never disappoints, and Saturday night's tale was exactly that as Sydney FC drew 2-2 with Western Sydney Wanderers at Allianz Stadium.
WESTERN SYDNEY WANDERERS
Vedran Janjetovic – 7.5
The former Sky Blue was strong at the back, conceding two cruel goals, one from the spot and the other from a deflected Brillante strike. Janjetovic’s distribution was top class, hitting the target nearly every time.
Josh Risdon – 8
Some fantastic attacking play, capped with an early assist to Spaniard Oriol Riera, the Socceroos fullback backed it up with some solid defensive efforts.
Robbie Cornthwaite – 7.5
The big centreback was solid as always, holding off attacks but couldn’t help with the two Sydney FC goals.

Brendan Hamill – 8
What a way to stake a claim for another Starting XI spot, with a strong display at the back stepping in for the injured Michael Thwaite and a first A-League goal since his Melbourne Heart days.
Raul Llorente – 7
The Spaniard looked at home in the first half, with some strong and quick runs down the touchline. With a stronger Sydney FC in the second half, Llorente found it hard to make attacking runs.
Chris Herd – 6.5
After conceding the Sydney penalty after falling for some smart play from David Carney, Herd showed his quality, setting up some dangerous attacks and helping with the Wanderers fluidity in midfield.
