A Fernando Muslera howler sent Uruguay crashing out of the World Cup as France secured a semi-final berth for the first time since 2006 with a 2-0 win.
FRANCE
Hugo Lloris - 6.5
Put his body on the line to dive and punch the danger away when Torreira's corner found the head of Stuani. A superhuman reaction save in the bottom left corner denied Caceres the chance for an equaliser.

Benjamin Pavard - 6
Got forward with surprisingly little pressure. The youngster threatened with his deliveries into the box.
Raphael Varane - 7
Stuani didn't prove as much a threat as the towering Cavani would have with Varane comfortably winning the aerial battle. A great header from the set-piece opened the scoring for France.
Samuel Umtiti - 5.5
Prone to a few shaky moments in possession as we've seen this tournament and with Suarez lurking he was always looking behind his left shoulder. Not a confident performance by his standards and will certainly need to pick it up in the semi-final.
Lucas Hernandez - 6
Found some trouble dealing with Laxalt in the opening minutes while his deliveries weren't up to scratch.
Paul Pogba - 6.5
Pogba covered the ground well, screening in front of France's defense. However, going forward only a number of 'row Z' attempts came from the Manchester United midfielder.
