Perth Glory could not extend their lead at the top as an equaliser in the final seconds of the match from Tarek Elrich helped Western Sydney Wanderers achieve an undeserved 1-1 draw in their final game at Spotless Stadium.
Ivan Franjic – 6
Franjic was caught ball-watching for the late equaliser when he should’ve been rushing to close down Elrich from taking a shot.
Chris Ikonomidis - 9
He put the finishing touch in the only goal of the game, his eighth of the season and was threatening the defence with his runs the whole game. The former Wanderers player kept his class and didn’t celebrate after scoring.
Diego Castro - 9
The Glory captain gets better with age, another scintillating display where he dictated play and created the opener for Ikonomidis with an easy cross.
Andy Keogh – 6
Missed a one on one chance where he should have scored just before he was subbed off. Otherwise, he wasn’t much of a threat and was well managed by the Western Sydney Wanderers' defence.
SUBS
Joel Chianese – 6.5
Came on for Keogh and was quite threatening but couldn’t get the final ball right on the chances he created on his short time on the pitch.
Scott Neville – 6
A strange substitution by Tony Popovic to replace his central defender for a right-back, and he might be wishing he had the experience of Djulbic to stop the equaliser.
Jake Brimmer – 6
Came on very late for Ikonomidis but there wasn’t much he could do in such a short time
