For the second time this season, Western Sydney put four goals past Wellington Phoenix as an unlikely Brendan Hamill brace moved Wanderers a step closer to securing a finals spot.
Wellington Phoenix
Tando Velaphi - 6
Velaphi was only troubled with some routine saves in the first half but was let down by poor defending for the Wanderers opener. He was peppered with even more shots in the second half as Wellington ran out of steam.
Scott Galloway - 5
Had Llorente’s number for the match and did a confident job in keeping tabs on the Spaniard although on the break Galloway was often out of position as Mark Bridge caused him to loose his bearings as he dared past him to set up Santalab.
Andrew Durante - 4.5
Looked like some dreadful positional play at the beginning of the match with the Wanderers penetrating the Wellington box twice in two minutes. Looked in all sorts as they were invaded time and again by the Wanderers.
Dylan Fox - 4.5
Some questionable defending to begin the match as they shook the cobwebs off with some lucky Wanderers profligacy.
Thomas Doyle - 5
A few defensive headers and an improved second half performance prevented the scoreline ballooning into a slaughter.
Liberato Cacace - 4.5
The 17-year-old started the match in his more familiar defensive midfield position however it was never going to be an easy ride against a compact midfield like the Wanderers as the youngster struggled to make an impact.
Goran Paracki - 5.5
It was poised to be a tough contest between Paracki and Carrusca but after the Argentinian was subbed off injured Paracki had to deal with Alvaro Cejudo which seemed to have been just as hard a task.
