For the second time this season, Western Sydney put four goals past Wellington Phoenix as an unlikely Brendan Hamill brace moved Wanderers a step closer to securing a finals spot.
Matthew Ridenton - 5
A quiet evening for the 23-year-old midfielder as he tried his best to keep Wellington’s structure and shape. To his credit he has improved upon this but the Wanderers opened them up time and again.
Sarpreet Singh - 6
A quick response for Wellington was what Singh provided as he slammed a rebounded save from Janjetovic into the roof of the net to equalise moments after the Wanderers took the lead.
Nathan Burns - 5
Some great close control inside the box to get the shot away leading to Sarpreet Singh’s crucial equaliser. Wellington’s very direct style wasn’t suiting the Socceroo.
Roy Krishna - 6
Playing centrally replacing Andrea Kaludjerovic the Fijian had a clear cut chance saved by Vedran Janjetovic and again in the second half by the Wanderers goalkeeper. It just wasn’t his night.
Substitues
Matija Lujic - 5
Had little impact on the match and couldn't provide Wellington with any significant spark.
Alex Rufer - 5
Wellington's midfield was already overrun by the time Rufer was summoned.
