2. Sergio van Dijk (Brisbane Roar & Adelaide United)

The Dutchman, who joined Brisbane in mid-2008 out of Holland's second tier, has an incredible goalscoring record in the A-League, with the third most goals in the competition's history, with 42 strikes in the three seasons he's been in Australia.

In fact, Van Dijk finished equal second topscorer in the 2008-09 season, outright second in 2009-10 before winning the Golden Boot in 2010-11. After his superb 2010-11 campaign, van Dijk was deservedly named in the A-League Team of the Year too.

The 28-year-old striker, who has Indonesian heritage, is also one of only two players to score two hat-tricks in the A-League, while he's played a key part in helping Brisbane and Adelaide sides reach preliminary finals.
